Deadline Extended After Requests from Innovators
The Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority has extended the deadline for its technology hackathon by 15 days. The original submission deadline was August 31, but startups and young technology professionals requested additional time to develop and submit their ideas.
The revised deadline is now September 15, 2026.

Hackathon Targets Kumbh Management Challenges
The initiative is focused on finding practical technology solutions that can support the large-scale management of the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
The challenges cover areas including sanitation, public health and first response, along with 360-degree surveillance and security. Selected technologies could potentially be considered for implementation during the Kumbh.
Shortlisted Solutions to Move Forward
The authority has shortlisted around 50 solutions from the submissions received so far. Of these, 18 have been selected for further presentations, with the final six expected to be showcased before the Chief Minister at a proposed technology summit in Nashik.
Kumbh Mela Commissioner Shekhar Singh has encouraged students, startups and technology entrepreneurs to use the extended window and participate in the initiative.
The extension gives innovators additional time to propose technology-driven solutions for one of India's largest religious gatherings, ahead of the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela 2027.
